Nice dinner
The selection of food is good and slightly unusual - I had the tempura monkfish with tarka dahl, which was great! Good service and a well-designed interior.
Visiting our friend, she selected this restaurant. What a delight. Plain simple dishes packed with taste and beautifully served.Attentive and helpfull staff. Shall look forward to our next visit.
The Lime Bar in Manchester at the Lowry outlets serves some lovely food but is certainly more of a bar as the name suggest the quality of the food certainly isn't secondary but it isn't a relaxed dining experience given its very nature. As long as you're aware of that you will enjoy your visit.
There's another dichotomy too. The menu. This place really isn't quite sure what its trying to be. There Italian, Asian,Mexican, quintessential English and pretty much any other genre you care to name. Just going down the mains I pick out - belly of pork, Malayan chicken, lamb tagine, piri piri chicken. See what I mean?
The food though is sublime. Really really well cooked and tasty. I had sautéed prawns and chorizo followed by the pan fried sea bass. Both courses were served really quickly and with friendly service. With a glass of wine the total bill was just over £30. The quality of the food was well worth that amount.
If you are seeing a show at the Lowry or going to the cinema or event just shopping here, this location is a great one to eat.
